Cleaning tips

No matter how clean your phone seems, smartphones still attract bacteria. Of course, this is simple to explain: you take your phone everywhere you go and use it several times an hour. Sometimes you lend your phone to someone else, or play a game while sitting on the toilet. Many people briefly wipe the screen with a towel or sleeve to make the phone shine again. But does this really make the phone cleaner? It is quite likely that all kinds of dirt and bacteria will still be on your device. Follow our tips on how to keep your phone spotless!

Six tips to keep your phone clean:

1. Clean your device at least once a week

We recommend cleaning your phone at least once a week and preferably more often. This will prevent dust from accumulating and reduces the number of bacteria on your smartphone.

2. First, get rid of the dust!

Start by removing dust and small dirt particles. This is because small dirt particles can cause scratches on the screen while cleaning. Dust and small dirt particles also accumulate in the phone's jacks, which can also lead all kinds of hazards.

3. Blow the dust away

A spray can of compressed air is an effective way to remove dust and small dirt particles. Just make sure you hold the aerosol can straight, otherwise water will spray with it. No compressed air at hand? Blowing well also helps, but not as much.

4. Use a microfibre cloth

This is a special cloth that works great for picking up dust and small dirt particles.

5. Use antibacterial spray

The best way to clean your phone is to use antibacterial spray in combination with a microfibre cloth. Spray the cloth with a little spray and then rub your phone clean. Be careful not to do this with a soaking wet cloth. This is counterproductive and can damage your phone. A little bit is enough! Be careful not to use an alcohol-based spray that's bad for your display.
